Got 2 chicks at the start of october with the wife and we immidiately decided we wanted more!

We currently have:

- 2 8Week old Wellsummer (girls)
- 3 6Week old Golden Laced Wyandotte 2:1 f:m
- 3 6week old Light Brahma (unknown)

Only one confirmed roo so far. The feedstore they were purchased from claimed the Brahma and GLW were all female... we have no way of knowing for sure outside of just waiting and seeing what develops!

Built this lil brooder for the garage... its on wheels so come springtime, I can slide it to the side garage door and add onto it, making my sideyard the chicken run and this will be converted to a full coup with 8 nesting spots.

Hoping our adventure into chickens is fruitful and fun! We looooooove eggs!

this will be converted to a full coup with 8 nesting spots.

For 8 chickens, you only need 2 nest-boxes.
Unless you want /have a broody to sit quietly to hatch a few more chicks next year.
