I have been battling my fair share of rats on our property even before I got chickens, but this is a new one for me.

I am finding clumps of what looks like fur and also discarded snail shells. There are no droppings like I would expect from a rat, but I did find one large rodent looking dropping...too big to be a rat but (according to the Mr.) too small to be a possum. There are no tracks as this is on my concrete patio. Should I be concerned about my babies in the brooder on the patio? The big girls are in a coop/run that is pretty akin to fort knox. (1/2" hardware cloth etc), but the brooder isn't quite as secure.

Thoughts?

Owls will regurgitate fur ,bones and anything else that does not digest.
They are called owl pellets. look it up on the net and see if they resemble this.
They sell owl pellets to educational institutes for dissection,.

Definitely not an owl based on what the poop looks like. Thanks though. I will keep trying to see what it is.
