My Airedale checks in on the chickens every now and then, to make sure all is ok.

He is pretty protective of his flock.

While the chickens refused to step out onto the snow, the dogs were in heaven.

Snow is a lot of fun. But not when it starts to melt, and everything turns brown and grubby looking. Like now.

RainierLass, your photos are beautiful. Especially the one towards the bottom that looks like the front of a little cabin. If that is your home, I'm so jealous. & I'm a dog & cat groomer too!

That lil 'cabin' is my garden shed.....my brother and I built it a few years ago....it is 10X14 and houses all my garden tools and the generator which thankfully I haven't had to use yet this year.....it is solid cedar and we bought it as a kit out of British Columbia.....I love it too!

my chickens would be in heaven in there...

We have alot of Hawks around. The netting is a great thing to have. Its strong and hard to see at a distance. Its almost like its not there. Its worth every penny.

This is from last winter. The run is frosty! That is all hardware cloth. The coop is through the gate and to the right.

This is also last year. The snow man is in the run and decorated with chicken treats. The BYC is deer jerky
