Post your 2023 Goslings!

Goodness, you're an expert photographer as well as goose breeder - those pics are absolutely lovely!
Aww, thank you, that’s so sweet of you to say!

I’m not a goose breeder at all! I would never breed unless I could breed to perfection. Huge pet peeve I now have is that people say they are “breeders” but they are only selling whatever egg falls out of whatever gooses ass they happen to have. Not cool at all! One of my babies has an odd bone structure making her vision impaired in one eye. The woman I got the egg from should not be breeding this defect, but she will never stop. It’s all about the money. These are the only babies I will ever hatch. They are so insanely loved that I’m pretty sure I couldn’t possibly have more to give anyways. 🥰

Last ones to hatch this year. Three days old.
Proud parents escort them around the yard till evening when I get them behind electric.

Long story short I was not going to get a gosling nor was my friend selling her goslings she’s hatched for herself
I went to grab ancona ducklings and came back with ancona babies and Stella the gosling
She is just 2 months old now and the biggest baby ever
She needs her cuddle time on my lap 3 times a day
Loves to run as fast as she can to greet me
But she is also bonding to my 2 year old pekin
Next spring we will get her a mate from a fresh bloodline

What kind of goose is Stella? She is so incredibly adorable!

My four goslings I bought from two different local feed stores. They’re a week apart. The two by the water dish are Embdens (George and Martha); the little yellow one is a White Chinese (Rita) and the brown one is an African (Frances). They’re five and four weeks old now and are quite the characters!
