I was thinking the same thing !!! LOL Did you weigh your egg?! I forget how much our first leghorn egg weighed but our current eggs are only 1.3-1.6 Ounces. They have been laying for about a week now

One of my pullets started at .6 ounces and another's was .75 ounces. Not banties either. A barred rock and a Marans, respectively.

Our first jumbo from our 18 week pullets. I am guessing it is a tripple yolk, we got a lot of double yolks. Guess I'll find out when we have eggs next Jumbo weighed 2.7 ounces and the medium egg weighed 1.5 ounces. what a difference!

Red Sex Links. One might be from my Speckeled Sussex. Not sure who lays in the early morning yet. Have yet to catch her in the act.

Ok, question. My chickens are about 5-5.5 mo old and not laying yet. Someone just told me its because I let them free range! And I do, but not everyday. Is this true?
