This is actually our second egg, the first one we found in pieces...we weren't expecting eggs yet, our pullets are only abt 17 weeks old. It was a pleasant surprise!

From Ethel, my yr old buff orp; she's been laying, but this is the 1st egg I've gotten from her since bringing her home on Sunday.

HUMONGOUS EGG!! This isn't my first egg- but it certainly is the largest egg I've ever seen. I can hardly wait til tomorrow to see whats in it- I'll bet three yolks

This hen laid a double yolker once, and that egg was big but nothing compared to this one. I'll post photos

She didn't even cackle afterwards- just came down and started eating (she needed to replenish her energy)- ha.

Our bantam Cochins just started laying at almost 5 months. Itty bitty egg. Is this the size I can expect to see from now on or will they git a little bigger. It also seems that eggs are coming once every few days. Will this become more frequent?
