Well, I think my pick will have to be Murphy, then. He was a 'golden' (S/s+ split) Black Copper Marans, one of few large fowl roosters I've kept for their entire natural life. He may have had a bit of a plain appearance compared to some other roosters, but he was truly beautiful in personality. A big boy with a deep, gravelly crow who was firm with the other birds when he needed to be, but so gentle otherwise, a deep thinker, and quite tolerant of human interaction. Miss him a lot!
