Just heard military jets go over .. again. They've been real active this past week. Didn't hear any though the last couple of days. But now. We have a big Air force base in the next county. Now for some real sad news. Found out yesterday that one of our grandchildren just got deployed over to...I can't say where on here, but you can guess. Prayers for her. They say we won't fight, but I don't know.....

Praying. We have a family member who just finished basic in December. So we’re worried about them.
This whole situation is horrible to watch.

Just had a military helicopter fly over. Utah has a couple of Air Force bases...one is closer by than the other. The other is really big!

Dearly beloved children in the Lord,

In light of the distressing developments in Ukraine affecting millions of innocent people in the region, I wholeheartedly urge you to pray for peace and the well-being of our brothers and sisters who are enduring this tragic moment.

I ask that the hostilities be ceased immediately and that President Putin put an end to the military operations. As Orthodox Christians, we condemn violence and aggression.

I offer my support and prayers to my brother and concelebrant, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, who has the most difficult task of leading his beloved flock in this time of pain and anxiety. I also assure my prayers to the other religious leaders serving in Ukraine who have the delicate task of leading their communities in these difficult times.

To our beloved Ukrainian brothers and sisters, as well to all of you who are certainly troubled and concerned about these recent developments, I offer the words that the Lord Himself offers to us through His Psalmist: “The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace (Ps 29:11).”

May we fervently offer our petition to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to have mercy on us “for the peace of the whole world, for the welfare of the holy churches of God, and for the union of all.”

Get your flour. I filled my gas tank, it will last me for a couple of months..but not for many!

Watch the banks too. They are warning about possible cyber attacks on banks and government sites

Wish we could, but not leaving the house till the weekend. Roads are sheets of ice. We are pretty well stocked though. Bread in the freezer, and almond milk on the shelf. Flour already in freezer, too.

We’ve frozen both. Just put the bag in some sort of air tight container. We usually put the bag in a large ziplock.

Freezing keeps the oils in the flour from going rancid, so it extends the shelf life. I store my whole wheat in the freezer.

Keep the Russian people in your prayers too if you are not already. Large groups of them have gathered to protest the war on Ukraine. They do not have the same rights to protest that those of us here in the states have. Those who are attending these protests are risking their jobs, jail time and potentially worse.

I have just spoken to a friend here who has family in ukraine. she says that the russians are not doing anything to the civilians so far. let's pray it stays that way.

I have a Facebook friend in Ukraine who has rough collies. She just updated her profile picture an hour ago, so she must be safe. Other than that, I can't read most of what she's saying, it's not in English. Please pray for her safety, her family's safety, and the safety of the dogs, too.
