Praying for a hen 🙏🏼

So I rescued that youngster someone dumped on the road to the ranch. Got obviously attacked and about to loose one eye and was so stinky: bad bad infection. My vet (horse) suggested Chloramphenicol dose is 50 mg/kg 3 x day I started tonight after two days on Clindamycin (don’t have more).
Does not smell anymore and should make it
Now the question: is that a roo or a hen?
No spur on legs but a few stringy feathers on the tail.
A bit wet when I took these pictures. Any help is appreciated!

Pictures of comb? If it was dumped, it's probably a cockerel.

Well that’s what I thought. But was sitting for one night until I picked it up and eye all yellow already. So just hoping SHE was pecked on and they dumped her…
Not much of a comb and best shot I could take tonight.

Good news! Henrietta maybe a hen after all: no streamers, no spurs. Meds worked very well: infection is gone, lost sight (eye looks like it had cataract with white on the lens) but didn’t loose her eye. Putting some vitamin A ointment hoping it may help.
And most importantly she has a home to go to: another ranch where my friend will watch for her. 4 more days of antibiotics and she goes
