"I don't know," she mewed. "I want to know what's beyond here. Beyond the plains and fields. Whats over there," she said, pointing a paw in the direction in which the sun had just set.

Midnight looked around. "Kirei?" he called.

Kirei looked around and spotted Midnight calling her. She walked over to him. "Yes Midnight?"

"I found this cub, her name is Crystal. I don't know how old she is, can you watch her?" He lowered his voice to a whisper so that Crystal couldn't hear. "I think her parents were killed by those hunters. She doesn't know, though, so don't tell her"
