production black= california grey?

Does any know if Ideals production black is the same as the california grey? It would be nice to find something that lays like a leghorn, but a little calmer. Thinking of trying some, but I know very little about them. Ideals drawing looks like a barred leghorn to me. If anyone has any experience with this breed I would appreciate knowing what you think of them.. thanks

I have Cali Whites and LOVE them. I cannot tell them apart from my Leghorns in personality- but they are all pretty calm (relatively speaking). They aren't snuggly chickens and they do leave the coop when I enter.

From what I just read, it seems that the Prod. Black is the same as the Cali. Grey. However, I am only taking this from the links I provided and am not sure.

Thanks for the info, they do seem to be the same as the california grey which I have heard good things about.
