Pros and cons of Ancoans?

I want to gradually switch my duck flock over to a white or lighter feather birds. Have been reading about different breeds, and Anconas interest me.

What are your experiences with them?

My Anconas are good foragers--- I let them free-range over winter and they mostly got their own food. They sheltered in my goat pen when there was bad weather. I now have them in a pen and they are doing well in spite of the fact they have to share the pen with a turkey and a couple of chickens.

They started laying eggs well before any of my chickens started this spring. I put in a nest box and the females quickly learned to lay their eggs only in the nest.
