So, that BR looks female to me, but I think the other one from the other photo looks male.

Barred rocks are an auto-sexing breed which means that you can typically tell at hatch what sex they are with certain traits. Females should have darker legs, more black feathers and the white spot on their head will be more defined and smaller. Males will have yellow legs, more white feathers on their wings, and the white spot on their head will look like it is running down their neck.

A lot of hatchery stock might not adhere to those traits, especially the spot being defined, but you can usually still use them to tell you something.

Here is some closer pics of the two I have. I thought one might be pullet the other cockerel but I’m really hoping both pullets.

It looks like a pullet and a cockerel. You have a breeding pair at least.

I got pulled away, but the gold laced wyandotte looks like it may be a cockerel as well. Updated pics of everyone except the BRs in a week would be good.

I think a head on picture with a close up of the comb would help. It looks a little pink, but I am not sure if it is just the picture. It should have no pink at this age if it is pullet.

Sometimes it looks pinkish to me. Sometimes I just think cockerel because it’s bigger than other birds I have. It’d be nice if it was a pullet though.
