This is sugar and spice, they would be 9 weeks old now. I’m just unsure on genders, I’m pretty sure sugar is a pullet but unsure on spice!

Also, I was just wondering, I posted Goji before and told he’s a cockeral, but is it just by the comb you can tell? Trying to learn myself more! He is 12 weeks old

Goji has a manly face with all that red skin. I'm going to guess goji is at least part Delaware, if not full. May be a light Sussex and barred rock mix... but he looks like a Delaware, aside from the pink legs. The roos have barred hackles on white bodies. He is very striking!

I am leaning towards possible pullet for the blue but the splash with red leakage looks like a cockerel.

They all look to be cockerels to me. Heres how i tell.
The face plays a huge part. Comb and wattle size most of the time tells you if its a boy or girl. But its also the feathers. Males have pointier hackle feathers, a waterfall of saddle, and long, curved sickle.

Heres a good example:

Sorry for the text and other images, but this chicken is a Japanese bantam chicken. Known for having extremely short comb and wattles. This little guy was only around 2 weeks old and everyone else had nothing on their face. This is clear evidence of a rooster!

The rooster is on the left. Notice the comb and wattles are much bigger, and the saddle feathers (above his wings) are drooping down significantly. Hers, are not. The top of the tail (and some other feathers) curve down. Those are sickle feathers.

Aswell as that, he has pointy neck feathers. (Hackle feathers) The coloring on many often look different then females to, like in some easter eggers.

I hope this helped! Feel free to pm me if you wanna know more or have any questions.

That’s fantastic information, thank you so much! I’m going to cross my fingers spice is a pullet.. but honestly, the crest has been there since he was only 2 weeks… and I won’t be surprised if he’s a cockeral.. these three are going to be why I end up with a bachelor pad 🤣

Thank you so much for all the information, it is hugely appreciated! Sugar just started showing some pointed saddle feathers in the last few days. So I guess these three are boys! Of which I have too many now. So I guess a bachelor pad is my next project, cause I love the little dudes!

Unfortunately it also confirmed my one 4 week old is likely a cockeral too, he has a comb already and no one else does!

No problem! Anytime!

He would most likely be a boy then. If you wanted, you could post a picture and i could take a look. Im not an expert or anything, but i might be able to confirm the gender for you if you want.

Also, thank you for the follow!
