Pullet or Cockerel???

Hi we have two 9 week old pullets (or so we hope) and one, the RIR, has a larger and more red comb. they have fights a lot when they are outside if they were cooped up for a while, (the cage is a little small for them, we are trying to get them merged with the "big girls")
and we were wondering if this one was a roo. here is a pic:




She is very friendly towards humans and has bonded with the 9 week old barred rock and the younger white leghorn, we really want to keep her! Thanks!

It's only 9 weeks so too young for male feathers like saddle and sickle feathers. Those don't usually develop until 12+ weeks.

I'm afraid a comb that big and red at 9 weeks means it is without doubt a cockerel. Sorry

You can actually see some shiny baby saddle feathers, and the iridescent tail feathers. It's actually quite apparent!
I you can't have a roo for whatever reason, you might want to find him a home soon. Otherwise, congrats on your little Roo!
