Hi. Can you help me identify a few little ones? I am sending 4 different chickens, but may need help with a couple others also. Tried to get several good pics of the 4 of them. Also….maybe tell me how you are being able to tell. Trying to learn….And if anyone knows any good tutorial sites online for learning to tell the boys from girls at this age (about 9 weeks old), please let me know. My guess is: 1st black and white is a cockerel, the black one with the brown by the neck is a cockerel, and the other black one (with the tiny white specks) is a pullet…but at one point I thought they could both be pullets so not sure, and the last black and white one is a cockerel? Is is SO confusing…I think the pullets start getting wattles at this age too, so I am lost. Every time I look at them, I think a different gender! Thanks so much for the help.

They all look like cockerels to me. :/
This IS the site you're looking for for how to tell genders. :]
Big and pink combs and waddles by 6-7 weeks is a sign of males, red patches on the wings/shoulders is a sign of male, in a few weeks (12-14) you'll see male specific hackle feathers and saddles feathers coming in. Those are long and pointy feathers on the neck and on either side of the base of the tail.
For example:

Thank you. I was thinking that one of the black ones…because there are no waddles, many be a pullet…but that’s not a thing to watch for?

This one is a cockerel too…even though the comb Is pink and there is no waddle showing yet?

All are cockerels. Both black birds have male specific leakage over the wing bows.

Things to watch for are:

-comb and wattles development
-male specific saddles
-male specific color

Saddles typically become visible around 12 weeks. Some sooner, some later. At 12 weeks old, combs and wattles should still be small and quite pale. Any time they have that breakthrough red/brass color over their shoulders - that's a male specific trait.

Waddles may or may not indicate gender, they aren't accurate because this age is when they start coming in on both genders.
But if they ever bright colored, very likely male.
The red patches on the wings of the back and the white birds are a male indicator.

This is looking like another male. The deeper red patches at the shoulders is a give away, and I believe I see the pointy male specific feathers coming in as well.

Often when you have multiple males in a flock, the less dominant males will have delayed maturation.
