purple bruising near vent

Hi BYC!

Today, I bathed my hen in preparation for a county fair and I noticed that she had a purple bruise just outside her vent area. My flock includes 4 hens total and I don't own any roosters.

Please let me know if you know what is wrong with her or if you have any advice. I've attached a photo.

It looks like a bad bruise. Bruising can be green or blue, but this might be very recent. She may have been pecked or hurt on something.

Thanks for the quick response! Is there anything I should do to help her heal or should I just wait for it to heal by itself?
