I have a broody Araucana who has been sitting on eggs for over a month. Her first eggs didn't hatch... so I gave her some from the incubator and they didn't hatch either! So some chicks came in from Cackle today and I gave her some of those. She isn't showing much interest. They are in the brooder coop and she is staying out in the run. Some of the chicks keep going out there with her, but she pecks at them or backs away from them.
But at least she isn't acting broody anymore!
Is it ok to leave the chicks out there with her? It is my brooder coop and run and its pretty good size. It is really hot outside so there is no need for worrying about them getting cold.
