Q.) Do chickens appreciate being picked up by humans???

my chickens think table scraps are the BEST!!!

they KNOW when we're done dinner,,and all 90 or so ( feels like thousands) are waiting at the gate of their pens. and if you happen :| to go out without the days scraps,,,,,ugggg

The ones I got as chicks will all let me pick them up and cuddle or examine them as I handled them frequently when they were babies. They will stand in line until they have their turn of my attention. I love that !!

My older hens, ones I adopted at 10 mo old are not so willing to be picked up and will shy away when I attempt to pick them up.
