Hello, i have a female gpc quail, she is about 4 months old and a few days ago i noticed her face is very swollen and she isn't active, she seems to want to stand in the water dish and sleep.
She has no nasal drainage or sneezing and she is the only bird with this issue and i have her in the injury/quarantine tote to heal.
It has been about 3 days and she seems depressed and her eyes are a bit goopy.
It is not getting worse but also not getting better.
Here i have pictures of her and pictures of a healthy quail for comparison.
Any information or ideas will definitely help, thank you.

Is she on the ground? I've had quail get eyeworm from eating infected Madagascar roaches. I treated with VetRX. Would recommend just spraying eyes with diluted solution (instructions on the box and online) rather than trying to give them internally. Or, you could just separate and let it run its course.

Could, of course be something else too. Either way, separating her for a bit is needed -- especially if you don't know if it can spread.

Hoping for a recovery soon for you.

Yes my quail are free roam on the floor in an enclosed coop, i do now have a second quail showing signs of this, i have removed them from the other quail.
I will definitly try VetRX, thank you!
