Ok, I know a ton about horse color genetics but am still learning when it comes to the birds

So, what I want to know is what you get when you breed a buff African gander to a brown African goose? I am under the impression that buff is a sex linked color? Thank you!

Yes you are correct and Buff is sex linked.

Pairing a Buff African Gander to a Brown African Goose will result in the following;

50% Brown males split for Buff

50% Buff females.

A nice easy mating and all the goslings can be sexed by colour as a bonus
