Are RIR bantams considered rare? Or uncommon?

Not at all; I see far more of them at shows than I see of RIR largefowl. Rosecombed RIR bantms do seem less common than single combed ones, though.

How about black rose comb? I'm getting some black rose combs and RIR bantams tomorrow. If I breed them I could get that?

Something I have never seen through my several years of showing was a great (even good) BBR Cubalaya standard size at a show. I tried to raise them for a couple year but never had any luck.

You could lump many of the standard bred/heritage large fowl breeds into this discussion. Colored varieties especially tend to be in bad shape.

there are some good ones being bred in the east. the ones being shown in the west actually coming from the east. jim zook has some great bb reds.

so who has the best whites and blacks ? are they east or west?
