I had a pair of marans hatch out late this spring/early summer that have only matured about half size of the parent stock. Copper blacks, out of dark eggs. I plan to cross them together when she lays and see if they breed true. I'm not calling them bantam, just "small" and no idea of the genetics. Hatchmates from the same pen reached full size, in the same pen, same incubator, same food, water, shelter, etc... Not sure what the heck is going on with those two, but I'm keeping them until I find out, for SURE!

Welp Hatchery in Bancroft, Iowa has very nice Russian Orloffs.

Very nice as in pretty, or APA standard nice?

I believe a couple other hatcheries do, too, but we're listing them in terms of Orloffs of type, not production-bred Orloffs.

I have only found 2 breeders of White Faced Spanish....I hear they were one of, if not the first chicken brought to the U.S...

Could you put me on track to barred hollands not of a hatchery source?

I have found only 2 places that have Barred Hollands: SandHill Preservation in Iowa (unsure of quality) and a BYCer in Washington (Heirloom Heritage Farms, listed this breed last year.)
I would love some.
