Went to check on the mixed flock this morning, they have an auto door and free range all day but I go down every morning about an hour after the door opens to clean under the roosts, water, check things out, etc. The grown hens and roos are always outside, rain or shine. They came running to the jeep when I pulled up and I greeted them with a scoop of wheat and some cooked pumpkin. I have 19, now 11 week old Delawares from my first breeding that I incorporated into the coop 2 weeks ago. They are not leaving the coop yet but mobbed me when I opened the door to greet them. Never had/known of a friendlier breed. Wouldn't trade my life for the world.......................
