Can anyone help me identify what is happening on my roosters legs. I don’t see any signs of bumble foot and none of my hens have it. He is a BR and about 11-12 weeks old.

He’s eating, drinking, social, and with the girls as normal. He doesn’t appear to be injured but I can’t seem to find an answer on google.

Yep! His feet and legs look perfectly normal. The flush will likely get brighter red as he matures, and it will fluctuate at times, they often get much redder in the spring as breeding hormones tend to peak, but it can happen any time. Excitement or stress can bring it out also.

Looks like he's probably getting his hormones. Their legs tend to flush, both with external temps and hormones.
Thank you! That was one of the things I did read, I’m still new to chicken keeping and since I didn’t plan to have any roos I’m still learning.

Great thank you for this info! My girls are not laying or seem to be showing signs of laying yet, but with the hormones coming in should I be worried about him trying to mount them at this point, or would I see more of this in the winter/spring as he gets older.

Are the hens the same age as he is?

Yes give it take a few days maybe. Purchased them all together as pullets from tractor supply (he is obviously not a pullet and until I can find a home for him I am going to attempt to keep him, our town does not allow roosters). I have one girl who is about 2-4 weeks earlier but not exactly sure as I got her as a single hen from a different flock.
