RIR or NHR? Hen or Rooster?

Yes she is loved. :) some friends have seen her and reckons she's a New Hampshire. its (still) confusing lol.

She lacks the deep body and vibrant chestnut color of an APA quality New Hampshire, but as I stated in my earlier post, as a Production Red she could have been marketed by the hatchery as a New Hampshire.

She was marketed as a RIR chick. strange that.

As I stated in my earlier post, hatcheries market Production Reds as both RIRs and NHs (or PRs) depending on the shade and evenness of the red feathering and the absence or presence of black feathers in the tail. It's strictly a judgment call on the part of the hatchery.
