Roos age?

February 21st we bought our peeps at Rural King. How old are they typically when they sell them at farm stores? They didn't have pin feathers yet. We've had them a few days shy of 6 weeks and today one of our white leghorns crowed. He has been dubbed Foghorn. Is this early?

on average it's early, but some do crow even earlier and others not until 6 months or better. Most chicks at the farm stores are from a few days old to a few weeks depending on how fast they sell.
