I'm sorry to hear about your rooster's attack. As long as is vent isn't damaged and he didn't suffer internal injuries, he may heal fine. We had a very independent hen attacked in the fall by a neighbor's dog who got her as she was crossing our road to go lay her egg in her favorite stolen nest. Her wings and tail feathers were damaged, and she walked upright and crooked for a few weeks. The important thing is that she ate and drank well, ad wanted to be near the other chickens, so we let her do as she wished. She has totally recovered now, although not yet resumed laying. I would use some Vetericyn wound spray on him, or clean him up and use plain Neosporin ointment. BluKote spray can hide his wounds, but I would probably cage him inside the coop for a few days with the others, so that they don't peck at the wounds. Feed him a little extra protein--eggs, tuna, liver, gamebird feed, and make sure that he is drinking well. Vitamins and electrolytes in his water may be good for a few days, along with a probiotic or plain yogurt.
