Purchased 10 chickens in February that were all to be female and one of them came out male. I know the breeds I was supposed to get but they were several substitutions and wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of rooster this is?

Following; I'm trying to learn more standard breeds but definitely not at all sure about this one. What hatchery or breeder did you order from?

It's probably an Easter egger of some type. Maybe a starlight green egger. Definitely not a pure breed.

That was my theory. I was supposed to get two eggers but only got one. I got them locally but they came from Hoovers and ideal. Thanks for the replies!

So far he’s pretty nice which is a first for me and roosters. Any tips to try to keep him from getting aggressive?
