Rooster recommendations to breed with

We just got 8 chicks we were told were straight run. However, they are all pullets. We have 7 that appear to be Golden Comets and one we thought was a Black Australorp is actually a Sapphier Gem. Since we didn't get any roosters this time we are looking to add one for the future but need recommendations. Was thinking a barred rock, but then the Golden Comet offspring will all appear barred.

a docile nature and good egg production with ocasionally broodiness to raise their own chicks instead of having to incubate.

I was considering an australorp, but then it would be dominate and take away the red.

Either keep the red or go with the blue gen from the sapphire. I'm not sure what the offspring would turn out with keeping a darker gene with a red vise versa.
