Rooster walking like Penguin

[Cereal]

He started last summer. One day walking fine, the next walking upright like a duck or penguin. The day before nothing unusual other then he was trying to swallow a long piece of grass that I couldn't pull out since he was too fast. I doubt that has anything to do with it but it has been 6 months and he is going downhill. Barely walking but eating and drinking if I put right in front of him. I thought he may have a back issue but he was walking around the yard fine all summer. Now I am faced with culling the poor guy. Any suggestions?

The only time I have heard of this was with egg bound hens, or hens with peritonitis so I was curious and looked for other threads. This is the only one I came across and it's not very helpful but I thought I would share it anyway and I'm curious to see what others have to say about it. I hope your rooster pulls through!

Can you post a picture? One thing that comes to mind is a spinal deformity. Those can get worse with growth and if the spinal cord is rotated, it can end up as leg weakness then paralysis. Here is some reading about kinky back or roach back, common terms for spinal deformities:
