Happy holidays everyone.....

Just wanted to double check that I got the right sand for the coop. We got quick-crete all purpose sand. Is this ok to use in the coop? I know ive read not to use play sand so i didn't get that.
Your advice would be appreciated.

I use river sand. As far as I know, most any sand will do. I cannot think of any reason to rule out any particular sort of sand.

Just so you know there is nothing wrong with using play sand. Just put play sand in my coop and is working fine and dandy, love the look and the chicks love it as well.

I just changed out my sand today to only play sand. I'd used some of the sand that they put in tubes for winter weight in vehicles mostly and it was SO dirty and dusty. I didn't realize it until I got some silkies and they got so dirty immediately. The play sand is so much nicer and usually you can get open bags cheaper.
