Sapphire olive egger, 5 weeks, cockerel?

I know Sapphires develop combs pretty early. but this little one's comb is getting pretty pink, and they got pretty prominent spur nubs, is it too early to tell or are they definitely a cockerel?

I’d wait till it crows or you see definite saddle feathers but for now it looks like a cockerel

Cockerel. Very handsome - the small tuft combined with the barring indicates he is not only a cockerel, but one of the parents is a legbar - most likely mixed with s Maran.

Healthy cockerel, who looks like he may get some interesting red leakage!

With either Sapphire/Legbar rooster/hen combo- you'd end up with barred cockerels. He looks like he may have some red leakage- so could be a cool pattern when he matures. And, he has solid egg production genes, and likely a copy each of brown and blue egg genes- so he's be fun to keep around in the flock.

The sooner the better. It's my experience the older they get the less people want them.
