I set mutts... I was not planning on doing any till spring, when I could seperate them into breeding pens... BUT, my silkie went broody, so I gave her the eggs from everyone for that day. Only 2 eggs will be pure... Hers with a silkie roo, and one egg is a faverolle... The rest all wyandotte/faverolle and EE/faverolle and one silkie/faverolle. Was not my intention, but I couldn't help it. She wanted to be a mommy. LOL. In the spring, will be pure silkies and pure faverolles.

I have 40 eggs collected yesterday and today sitting on my kitchen table... i think im gonna have to join you guys. i got the fever now after reading this thread. was gonna wait until spring but what the heck. Barred Rocks, Leghorns and Serama/OEG crosses.... here we go.

Ok, my silkie hen is losing weight! I am switching her to chick food, see if that helps her out.
