I set my first batch of eggs today.
I'm using a Little Giant bator with the optional egg turner, for temps I've gone into overkill: I have two mercury thermometers, one remote digital with a wire, one digital with humidity reader in the bator. All of them are off from each other by 2-3 degrees. I'm ranging from 98 to 102 between all the temps. I figure that's an OK place to be. My calender is out and marked ready for my temp readings and candling results.
I have an egg shaped thermometer and a forced air fan in the mail to me from Ebay. I couldn't wait for them to get here before I set my eggs. I figure I can add them later.
This is not relaxing at all. I keep creeping into the room (that I have set to the optimim external temperature of 70 degrees) every half an hour to check on the temps. What will I do tomorrow when I'm at the office????? How will I survive 21 days of this?
