Looking for a little help with possible sexing of babies. We have a green queen hen that has mated with a bantam Easter Egger (single comb). We are trying to get an idea of the sex because we already have five roosters. Any suggestions for telling early on? If one of the chicks is born with a small comb, does that automatically indicate a cockerel?

Also, does anyone know any places to rehome roosters in the state of Indiana? We genuinely have five very good roosters that are not nasty at all. We need to get rid of a couple and need to find them new homes. Any suggestions?

Thank you! đź’›

Unless you vent sex them (which is very dangerous to do if you are a noob) you won't be able to tell until the are 4-8 weeks old.
So the fact that one of the babies has a tiny comb is not an indicator for certain that it is a male?
