Super cute chicks! I have hatchery crosses (super layers) but am saving up for some pure breds in a year or two when my girls quit laying.

Chickens don't have to be purebred to be beautiful or productive. It is fun to do some pure breeds though, you can really learn a lot about how to improve certain traits. And how complicated that can be!

These are chicks I hatched about 2 weeks ago. My first flock! They are Seramas ^_^ Their feather have come in a bit more since these pictures and it's obvious I have 7 frizzled and 3 smooth Seramas.
