Hello, I have been finding Shelless eggs every other day or so around in my chicken run or ruptured with just a big puddle of yolk. The hard thing is, I do not know which of my 15 young hens is doing this? They are all five and a half months old and only about 6 or 7 of them have started to lay eggs within the last three weeks. I already switched to layer feed and offer crushed egg shells sometimes and always have available crushed oyster shells but the problem still continues. I don’t find these every day but it has been at least 5 times since they started laying and i cannot tell which one is it since they all look healthy, happy and active. Anyone who can help I would really appreciate it. I love all my ladies 🐓

It could just be a new layer issue to work out.
What's their whole diet?
In the morning they get some scratch and some fresh grass. While in their feeders, I give them scratch and peck organic layer feed and sometimes I’ll mix some of that layer feed with a little bit of cracked corn and black oil sunflower seeds. The water is always fresh and I add a bit of rooster booster poultry cell in it. Besides letting them forage for a few hours, as snack I like to hang either an entire lettuce head or cabbage at least every third day. And once in a while I’ll offer black soldier larva also as snack.

Cut out all the treats to once or twice a week in minimal amounts, it's affecting nutrition absorption and not great for them. :]
I’m gonna give that a try definitely because I worry about them and since I cannot figure out which one it is, it’s a lot more stressful. Thank you so much!

A little update; I don’t think this is the one hen with the Shelless egg problem becuse I get one green egg from her a day. But I did notice her a bit uncomfortable like she was trying to lay then some liquid came out, looked like and smelled like egg yolk. Runny, clear and yellow. As you can see here and on the pretend egg next to the puddle.

Right after that about ten minutes later, she just went right back to the same nesting box and currently has been laying there for about ten minutes now. I have seen this type of yolk puddle before but no signs of egg shells nor does the yolk have a round shape. It’s just a little puddle. She’s an Easter egger at almost 6 months old who recently has been laying eggs for about three weeks now.

Sorry extended update: so the Easter egger just laid a nice blue/green egg but it was very strange that she would be leaving drips and a puddle of clear yellow substance before that. I’m so confused right now

I’m having a similar problem with my bantam. However the eggs she’s laying are bursting inside of her vent 💔 it’s incredibly distressing. Please let me know if you have any progress with upping your chickens calcium intakes I’m also doing everything I can right now
