Shipping live chicks.

For those of you who ship live chicks I would love some help in making sure I do it safely.

I would love to see your policies or tips for helping a newbie out (yes I’m NPIP certified).

What’s the lowest temperature you will ship at?
What’s the hottest temperature?
Min number of chicks per shipment?
What days of the week do you ship?


I know large hatcheries ship quail chicks. I’m also wanting to learn more about that!

Yeah, I need answers…
Didn’t collect duck eggs and now have a few hatching in a few days. Didn’t collect some quail eggs either, and have some hatching soon. Sis says she wants, so I plan to ship them from AZ to IL.
Everything I find online isn’t really straight to the point.
Guess going to the USPS and asking in person is the best plan.
