Should I let my goose eat this?

My 6 week old gosling has been eating the leaves off of my mesquite tree sapling . Is it okay to let him eat it? There are no pesticides or anything on the sapling.

The mesquite tree is not poisonous, and humans use its leaves and flowers as medicine. I guess is okay to get them, as long as he does not eat too much, this can harm him. Is he acting weird after eating them? This is unusual because my ducks are usually not into mesquite trees.

Thank you! He only eats a little bit before he turns his attention to something else. He never acts weird after.
