I have a chicken that was supposedly a silver laced Wyandotte I got her from a lady that buys hatchery chickens and raises them a bit to flip them I posted pictures of her and was told she was a speckled Sussex she has a big personality and I have older pictures of her (now she’s turning white and getting spots) but recently my silkie of the same passed her in size and I m worried

My experience with hatchery birds is they are on the small side. I have a 1 year old hatchery Sussex hen who is smaller than my 3 month old Jersey Giants. Also, could it be that your bird is a bantam?

I agree with @AprilWC
I compared my feedstore Australorp to my 4-H instructors show-quality Australorp and the difference in size is astounding. It could also be a bantam.

Idk if it’s a bantam this is her next to two Easter eggers of the same age
