These are my Indian Runner ducks! The black runner in the separate picture is my drake!! He is very good and I just love him!

I would say that our chickens are pets, but they give us eggs and I do love each of them very much.

Before my story begins, if anybody knows what breed the “cross breeds” in my flock, please ( especially Daisy ) tell me I’ve been searching a very very long time, still no luck.
7 years ago we got our first 3 chickens. (2 of them are still with us today.)

Buttercup (past away last winter)
(probably Easter egger)
Green egg layer
Nicknames: Bubbas or Butters or ButterButt(didn’t use that one a lot tho)

Dandelion
Probably Easter egger
White eggs
Nickname: Dandys

Daisy (she is the favorite, very vocal though)

4 years ago we then got 4 more chicks from a class that was raising chicks (all crosses)

Sky (had to get rid of him because he started attacking us)

Star (she raised chicks this spring)

Boom Chicka POP (We call her Boomy tho) she is also very vocal if locked in the coop for long time. Lol
(Cross breed of what I think an Easter egger and a welsummer)

Sunshine (crossbreed) she is retired but is still loved very much she is kind of a “special needs chicken” but not exactly she was squished as a baby but still made it, she is very strong!!!

In February we then got 7 more chicks (at a farm store, all purebreds) but had to get rid of both our polish because they turned out to be roosters.

In June, Star hatched out 3 eggs (2 survived)
Our neighbors had an Ayam cemani rooster who jumped over and mated with our hens, I took three eggs and let Mama Star hatch them out
Here is Ninja the father:

I think I went overboard on this thread but that’s my story
Right now we have 12 chickens;
10 hens, 1 pullet and one cockerel!

I won’t leave this thread either I want to see other peeps posts and I have more coming (maybe)
I love chickens!
