Shredder gene in chocolate Orp?

I suppose that’s a possibility.

This is Tree. She’s pretty but her feathers look a lot like my lav orps do. I feed her 20% protein all flock like all my chickens. They are the only two with these types of feathers. So I’m thinking/hoping she will molt them out?

So now she’s developed a Mohawk or spine of feathers down her back (think stegosaurs). If I smith them down, they stay down for a bit but eventually work their way back up. I sure hope she miles them out, too. Or Imma have one crazy looking chicken! Lol
