Yes, black and the one you are calling buff is likely light colored partridge or buff with a lot of dark.

I love him! He is too dark like mine is though. I would breed him to a self-blue and try to lose the black, which is what I plan to do with mine. I love his small comb too!

Thanks, I love him! My procelain pullet is very light....she is lovely. I'm not sure what to do with him, unless I get into self blues. What would I get if I bred him to my Porcelain pullet? I know that porcelains don't breed true, but just curious what I'd get. I am very happy with my porcelain pullet, she's pretty to look at.

Not necessarily. I don't know what they were marked but odd colors can and do pop out of unusual places. If you ordered paint for instance, pretty much anything can pop up!

I have been hatching out silkies for 2 days now. My SG roo must have super Show Girl genes because every single eggs so far (8) from him has been Show Girls. I have never had this happen before. Usually it is a ratio of around 3 regular to 1 SG. This happen to anyone else?? Pictures are soon to come
