Silkie eye color genetics

Okay I have wanted to ask this question for a while now. If you have light orange eye color and breed it to a dark black almost eye colored silkie what could the off spring be? Or is there a lot more genetics then just appearance?

That was alot of great genetics info but I could find anything about what my off springs eye colors could be..
Would anyone take a educated guess?

You will get some with light and some with dark colored eyes.

Dsowens15, did you end up trying the combination out and if so what were the results. I'm interested in the same question and have also had trouble finding information on the topic. What breed was the chicken with light orange?
