Hi, the silkies are 16 weeks now and i'm still not really sure although i'm starting to think that the 3 of them may be boys because of the amount of wattle development and the 2 white ones have some red on their faces. One of them looks like it has what people describe as streamers. I really don't know much about them so am hoping that someone can take a look for me. There are 3 silkies (2 white 1 black) the photos of the 2 white ones are separate and on either side of the photos of the black. Also, it's a bit hard to tell in the photos as it was windy but silkies 1 and 2 have a more puffy crests than silkie 3. Silkie 3s crest is more upright. It is the main way that i can tell the 2 white ones apart. Also I have also never seen them fight. Not sure if that is saying that they are all boys with no girl to fight over - i'm fairly sure that they are not all girls. Thanks for any help
Hi!
Because of my new work hours, I’m not on near as often as I used to be. But I just happened to see your request! Honestly these all still look pretty female to me. Beardless Silkies have more significant wattle growth in males at this age usually.
I was just on here and thought I would update for anyone who wants to use the photos to help work out their Silkies gender. All 3 ended up being girls. They are just 7 months old and 2 of them are already sitting on fertile eggs.
