The black one is a rooster and the white one I'm not sure but wanna say girl..

Thanks, that's what I was thinking too . I'm not supposed to have a rooster. Is the silkies crow less loud than a standard ?

Depends on the rooster. Some are loud and some have a muffled crow. Maybe you could keep him in the garage with a dark blanket over the cage until it's late morning so he doesn't disturb anyone

I'm not sure, mine are only 12 weeks. When I got them tho the breeder let us look around his coops and one of his silkies crowed and its wasn't loud at all. Kinda sounded like someone put a pillow over his face.. It was pretty muffled.
