Silkie thread!

I culled my little silkie.. he has been getting worse to tye point where he cpuld even move his head up to eat and drink and all he did was flail and seize over and over so i deoced it was best to cull him and stop the suffering :(

It sounds like you did the right thing.
 
Regina is finally sitting gonna clutch of eggs. Not sure how many exactly and not sure they are all hers because we have tow other hens. She's sprawled out a bit in the coop floor and it seems like she can't cover all eggs at once because there are always 5-6 in view. I have a few questions: 1) eggs I see appear "oily" is this normal? 2) some seem dirty with poop, are they okay? and 3) should I try to scoot her into a corner and use a piece of 2X4 to contain them and prevent the sprawling?
