Silkies on and off the eggs

So, my Silkies have decided that they'll set on the egg at night, but they go wandering during the day. Seems to me this would be worst than them not setting at all. I know they're heading toward broody, but I don't think they're there yet. Should I remove the eggs and give them substitutes until they go broody?

Sure be a good idea, otherwise you might have chicks hatching over a 4 or 5 day interval . I'd leave one, but mark it & take it out when they are serious.

Notified? It's probably something you either checked or didn't check. Go to your profile & read down through the notification part. Some people want them, some don't

I've checked my settings several times. This started out of the blue a couple of years ago and I've never been able to correct it.

But this has nothing to do with Silkies...
