The hen will store both roosters' sperm for later use. The answer would be from either rooster, you won't know who fathered the chicks until you compare the offspring to each rooster.

Not silkie related, but would like to share an egg one of our BB Bronze Turkeys laid yesterday.

It's the speckled fat off-white egg, below the chicken egg.

Yes, I know that. They only will spend part of their time in there at a time, not all day, or all night. That's only half of the breeding pen, if it were fully built it will be 7ft.

I've got eggs due to hatch from this pairing on Wednesday!

I've hatched chicks fathered by my rooster but never this pullet. I have no idea what her chicks will look like but I'm kinda hoping that she doesn't carry the vaulted skull genes.

Fingers crossed she also produces chicks with half decent toe feathering.

We will see...

No she was bought to add more genetic diversity into my flock. She was just a seriously late layer though and is very 'temperamental' in when and where she lays...
